WELCOME TO MT. ZION UNITED CHURCH

We are happy to be worshipping in person

every Sunday at 10:00 am.

The Durham Region Health Department continues to encourage

the wearing of masks in indoor spaces,

however, masks are optional.

We will continue to observe social distancing

for the comfort and safety of all congregation members.

We look forward to seeing you!

Mt. Zion United Church

The current brick Church was built in 1893, although the Methodist congregation had been worshipping since approximately 1856 in wooden buildings on and near the current site. In 2016 Mt. Zion United celebrated its 160th Anniversary. We are still going strong!

On September 5th, 2019, several brave and caring congregation members went up in a cherry picker to repair our lovely stained glass window. They did a wonderful job and our little church is looking beautiful as always!

Music Night at Mt. Zion

On February 1st, 2020 Mt. Zion United hosted a Music Night. The performers were all very entertaining. We featured vocalists Sharon Webster and Danny Reesor, violinist Jane Plewman, guitarist Doug Watson, drummer Harry Agar and our resident pianist Donna Barber.

Our goal was to raise funds to put a chair lift on our stairs to make the church more accessible. Thanks to all who came out to support us.
